    Apparently he has retired.

    From http://www.*************.com/headlin...ov-is-retired/

According to Samson Lewkowicz of Warriors Boxing, former WBO Heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov has decided to call it quits on his boxing career. “He retired. He doesn’t want to go back and sweat in the gym. He got married, he’s very happy, he lives in Russia,” said Lewkowicz yesterday. “He’s a millionaire, he doesn’t need to fight any more.”

Ibragimov won the Olympic silver medal in the heavyweight weight class in 2000 and won the WBO title by unanimous decision from Shannon Briggs in June of 2007. The hard-hitting southpaw made one successful defense in Russia against Evander Holyfield, then lost a unification match vs. IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko in New York one year ago. That was his final bout. Ibragimov, who turns 34 next month, exits boxing with a final record of 22-1-1 with 17 KO’s.

Ibragimov may be remembered most for being one of the four Eastern Europeans to simultaneously hold all four of the world heavyweight titles - along with Nikolay Valuev, Wladimir Klitschko and Oleg Maskaev.

How this chump came to be champ I'll never understand. Him, Chagaev, Valuev and Maskaev have made a mockery of European boxing recently.

He was a good boxer, it's a shame if he really has retiered.
