The truth is both men are almost identical to each other in every way except for a few minor diffrences. Bot have power in both hands and both have tremndous body attacks. Both fighters also fight in same exact pressure style that has been absent in the HW division for a long time. David is a bit bigger than Chris and has no weight problems. Chris on the other hand has a huge experience advantage especially since David had almost no amature career.

In my opinion if they fought today the fight would end in a Draw.

I'm confused. They should fight each other...but he looks robotic, but so are the Kilt brothers, so who knows, I can't tell a damn thing, but I trust the annoucers and promoters
He is as big as Vlad if that makes a diffrence and almost as muscular.

He's a big dude with an impressive KO record. But he hasn't fought anyone yet.

I'd take Arreola right now until Rodriguez decides to step it up.

Yeah I agree with you his biggest test was this saturday against a pretty good HW from Argentina. But I wanna see how against a gatekeeper like Lemon Brewster or Sergi Lehovic before I apoint him the next great American HW.

A fighter from my Hometown just won the NABF HW Title this weekend and is now 31-0 with 29 KO's.

His name is David "Nino" Rodriguez and because he won the NABF title he is gonna be in the top 10 in the WBA rankings.

What do you think his chances are at doing somthing special in the HW division????
He has no chance of being special. He's a ok fighter, but damnit, he refuses to fight anybody. I've tried SEVERAL times to get him into fights that have some meaning. I dabble as a matchmaker from time to time, and have offered up, Leo Nolan, JD Chapman, Sherman Williams, Jameel McCline, Brian Minto, Donnel Holmes, and even Shannon Briggs. We offered good money and TV exposure. the only person I know who David fought was Rick Dyer. Isn't Rodriguez 31 now? I think he is, he needs to step up and has constantly refused to do so, I know a lot of people who have tried to get him to step up, he has a glossy record and no real experience so he is a target of several matchmakers and promoters. I believe though, that he would've lost against all the guys i was trying to get him i the ring with, so I don't have any hopes for him. But I would LOVE to be wrong. We need a lot more contenders in the HW division.

You sad it man. You have to be willing to step up and have the desire to be champion.

His trainer goes to my boxing gym once in awhile and i kinda asked him about Davids poor compatition and his answer was that he has almost no amature career. This was about a year ago but he was telling me that david was almost ready for top contenders and he also blamed Golden Boy for not signing him because the purses he was getting offered were not big enough considering the risk they would be taking. I don't know how much of that is true but it sounded reasonable why they haven't stepped him up yet.

There is some reasoning their thought process. But we offered 30k for Chapman, a guy who has no amatuer career as well and was overhyped, and Rodiriguez straight turned it down. now 30k isn't HUGE money, but its solid money for a TV for exposure and experience. Hell, Jameel McCline fought Terry Smith for FREE just so he could get in a fight and on ESPN to get exposure. And that fight set up the Valuev and Peter fights for him. Its called an investment in your career. Now skipping out on Briggs I can understand, but I ws there when Nolan lost to Guerrero and Sherman Williams hasn't beaten anyone of note in years. Minto is a bad guy to come in against if your not confient though.

I'm sure he is gonna step up now but it's not like he has a choice anymore. He's gonna be in the top 10 now so he's not gonna get by on just beating up tomato can's.
