My 1000th post and 28th birthday!

It's your boy The Texican having a milestone day today. I just turned 28, ran the Austin half-marathon last month, and found out I'm getting promoted to the day shift soon. That means I'll get to join our local boxing club and work out in the afternoons. To show you guys how dedicated of a boxing fan I am, I'm gonna let you in on something. 95% of my posts come from when I'm at work, and that's a hospital lab. That means that while people and children are suffering in the ER, I'd rather discuss how Mayweather Sr. looks like the Predator, or JMM has outboxed Pac in two fights, but can't tek his pounches, or how WWF fans grew up to be MMA fans. Much love to the boys from Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, as well as the millions logging in from around the world ( cue Michael Buffer voice ). Anyways, we've seen some good ones and we've seen some bad ones. The old generation of fighters are fading away and a new generation is rising up. I look forward to arguing the finer points of JuanMa'S power and Gamboa's chin for 1000 more. Later.

This is one WWF fan who grew up into a boxing fan. You're probably right though.

Cong**** on 1000, I just had mine.

Actually I did too. You could say that Mayorga is the Brooklyn Brawler of boxing and Judah is Koko B. Ware.

Poor Koko, he got all those title shots and never won I don't think. Probably because the WWF wasn't ready for a black champ. Koko kept getting those title matches though, but the man kept him down. HA!
