From the video it seems like the plan for hatton is feint to the body and hook to the head...and work in reverse once Pacquiao covers up top. Its very transparent though and still implements Hatton's straightforward style which was his entire problem in the 1st place.

I know we've had this conversation before, but I'll say it again:

Hatton had no reason to clinch in the Malignaggi fight.

Why does a fighter clinch anyway? It's usually when he's hurt or afraid of being hurt. There is absolutely nothing to fear when fighting Paulie Malignaggi. Pacquiao hits about 10 times harder. Different story.

I find it very difficult to see how the Paulie fight can be used as any kind of measuring stick in terms of Ricky's improvement. Hatton could do anything he wanted in that fight because he was able to walk right through everything that was thrown at him.

I think this'll be a decent fight till hatton gets stopped on cuts, if he can save his face being torn up by the speed of pacman then he could take it, hopefully we're in for a classic.

this is gonna be an interesting one..a knockout from either fighter would be spectacular.. if hatton KO it will probably be 1 punch. if manny KO it will probably 100 punches in the span of 30 seconds.

p.s. i think manny's been on steroids or GH or something. he couldnt grow a mustache before now he has a full goatee

Ricky's looking good, so is Manny. And this is still EARLY in preparation, to think that the first episode of 24/7 doesn't air for another 3 weeks and they both look sharp already.

This is gunna be a good fight.

Yeah, I know he had no reason to clinch, but I think it's just a coincidence that the Malignaggi fight happened when he got Mayweather as his new trainer. Had it been any other fighter, Hatton would have tried to box the same way, as this is what Mayweather has been trying to teach him. The majority of people were saying before that fight, it was the boxer vs the brawler, and well Hatton proved he could outbox the "boxer".

Anyways, i think we're gonna have to agree to disagree on everything Hatton/Pacquiao related, and just wait until May 2nd to see who's right lol

Yep, its gonna be a great fight. Both fighters are really going all out for this one and should make it a war on the night. I don't think it'll be one sided at all, I can see it being a Marquez/Pacquiao style fight, not so much fighting styles, but in terms of the way rounds are won and lost, but this time one of them will get KO'd.
