Ok, the boo boys will put your win down to a head butt. Fact is, with some people it doesnt matter who you beat, or indeed how you beat them, you'll not be given any resepct.

He did well. Without the cut i think it was clear Khan had this fight in the bag.

    20K people

back to the scene of the crime

    lose and its ALL over.

some serious pressure there for the 22 year old.

If he's chinny, then i say he took all that on the chin very well.

Onwards and upwards from now on.

Logical next fight is a rematch with Prescott. Put that demon to bed and then start thinking about some belts.

    well done lad.
Okay, considering the cut came after 1 and half minutes into the fight, tell me, how did Khan have this fight in the bag? Barrera showed he could deal with Khans pace, was moving well, fighting on the inside and had a game plan. After the cut he couldn't see and therefore any game plans he had were out the window, he couldn't avoid Khan's fast hands and his only chance was to throw pot shots in the hope of KO'ing Khan. Everyone knew that Khan would start fast, and we knew Barrera would start slower, working his way into the fight by adapting to Khan's style and slowing him down. So, how did Khan have it in the bag after 1 and a half minutes????
Just admit it, the win is not that impressive and the only way to redeem himself is to beat Prescott.

Ok, he did look good. But you gotta be real, he was fighting a 1 eyed 35yr old, 72 fights on the clock Barrera. Lets just be sensible with all this please, I dont like Khan, not a nice guy, too ****y with no reason to be.....but i can be objective. He looked good, but imagine him in there with a 30yr old Barrera, or a JMM. Hes not a world beater. The chinny little walking cliché isnt world class, sorry, hes just not.

Im happy for Amir but disgisted that he feels he can shout off about it. He proved nothing on Saturday night as an accidental clash of heads ruined the whole event.

I didnt mention he was world class. I just think he deserves a bit of credit for beating MAB under extreme pressure.

When iwas 22 years old all i had to worry about was by pay cheque clearing and hoping i'd get some pu$$y on a Sat night.

Just give the kid a break!

for what it's worth, i hoped MAB would win. But im more than prepared to eat humble pie.

If anything, I would say that the fight was more impressive for Barrera. He showed alot of heart continuing to fight with such a BAD cut and before the cut he actually looked pretty good. He also still managed to rock Khan with two or three shots, were as Khan didn't trouble Barrera with any of his.

No, fair play u didnt say he was world class, sorry man

I just think that there are still too many people getting to hyped about the guy, if people could take a step back and look at his situation realistically i would be much happier.
