lets revisit roy jones vs mike mccallum

first of all, disgracefull score cards, 120-107, pure bull ****.

How do you think a prime mike mccallum does against roy?

watch this and keep in mind mccallum was 39 fast approaching 40 and not in his best weight class against a prime roy jones.

A prime McCallum versus Jones would have been an interesting fight but a prime McCallum was at 154, Jones could have just been too big and too fast for McCallum, Kalambay beat him by never letting him set his feet and utilizing lateral movement (although it can be said that McCallum just showed up flat that night), which Jones is definitely capable of doing but McCallum could have found a way to push Jones to the ropes and work Jones' body and evetually wear him down. Tough fight to call.

Jones gave McCallum a lot of respect in their fight though, I don't think he ever used his jab as much as he did against McCallum, even against Ruiz.

mcallum made RJJ look like a decent fighter that night - not a great one. thats a big a compliment as i can give any other pre-ruiz opponent who fought RJJ

you can tell jones was having the time of his life during that fight, jones really respected mccallum
and i love how the commentator says mccallum gave jones a bit of a lesson right in the beggining of the video when mccallum flurries at jones in the ropes.. none of the punches even landed
