No, my friend. I think you need an understanding of what speed is...
Speed is the rate of motion, or equivalently the rate of change of distance. So in laiman's terms; speed(in boxing) is how quickly your fist moves from point A (your guard) to point B (opponent's face/body).
Shane is called "Sugar" for a reason. All Sugar's have incredible speed (among other things). Sugar Shane Mosley's speed is much greater than Floyd's speed. Zab Judah's speed is vastly superior to Floyd's. So you are very wrong in saying Floyd's speed is greater than Mosley's or Judah's.
Floyd doesn't have great speed, he has decent/average speed. What he does have is incredible, and I do mean incredible, "agility". You may also need an understanding of what agility is...
Agility is a rapid whole body movement with change of velocity or direction in response to a stimulus(or punch in this case).
Floyd's agility is so great to the point in which he effectively mastered the shoulder roll. Which is very hard to do, unless(which every trainer will tell you), have great/phenomenal/outstanding/incredible athleticism. Athleticism is a combination of things but you will find Agility is the number one thing to athleticism.
Floyd uses his incredible "agility" to dodge an oncomming barrage of(or one) punche(s). At which he combines his great timing and knowledge of the game of boxing(which punch is best for what & when to use it), to effectively pick apart(counter) his opponents.
When not countering. He uses his incredible footwork to close distance at what seems like an instant, at which he uses his knowledge of timing to give the ILLUSION that his speed is off the charts. When in reality, his speed at best is B+. When he combines all of his skills, he is a prodigy of boxing. Which is why, SKILL WISE, no one can beat him.
You use the Zab Judah fight as an example to show Floyd's superiority. When in reality, to the trained eye, it shows all of Floyd's flaws...
Sad to say it but its true... And I am a very big Floyd fan.
