    What a Miscarriage of Justice

Let's be real, Giovanni Segura was winning the fight and by increasingly wide margins. He was fighting the fight he wanted, right in his opponents chest and dictating the pace.

The way it ended however makes me sick. It's little secret that Segura was the favored fighter over Cesar Canchilla by the house and the commentators. Segura didn't need the extra ten seconds after the bell to beat Canchilla but he still was afforded it.

The bell rang three times, yet Segura was allowed to tee off on Canchilla with impunity. Worst of all it was on live TV and the outrage is minimal at best. Where is the condemnation of this?

I guess this is the risk when you travel to your opponent's home country. It just underlines the significance of a good promoter.

The saddest part about this is that Segura will get the brunt of this situation.

Indeed, just look at Mijares getting the nod over Cermeno last night. Judges where in someone's pocket.

Another example: Barrera being forced to continue even though he had a fuckin gaping crack in his head just so that Khan could get the "win". That fight should have been stopped much earlier. They just waited till the fifth for obivious reasons.

they repeated the canchila-segura fight so i was able to get a closer look.

ref didnt hear bell till it rang three times. conchilla trainer ran in ring. ref stopped fight. something was said by reff or conchila trainer to make segura immediatly dive to his knees and raise his arms in celebration.

If the ref didn't hear the bell, then he should not have been eligible to referee the fight due to faulty hearing. I've seen a lot of things happen when you go to your opponent's country but this was pretty bad.
