So your trying to not give credit to a guy who started his pro career at 154 and who eventually moved up to beat ruiz for the heavywiehgt title..

high majority picked ruiz to beat jones..

          Roy won a trinket belt

Lennox Lewis was the Heavyweight Champion

Roy Jones was never the Heavyweight Champion

Don't make it out to be more than it really is

and no a "high majority" did not pick Ruiz to win, that is completely false.

I actually think Ruiz really is underrated. Just because he's boring, awkward, etc doesn't mean the guy doesn't have skills. What a lot of people refer to as skills is more athletic ability than skills. What Ruiz does is in a sense more skillful than what somebody like Jones who I think got over on talent he was born with more than anything else does. If you actually take a look at Ruizs record he has a resume that only a few active heavyweights could equal. Personally I would rather have my toe nails yanked out by a pair of plyers than watch Ruiz vs Valuev 3, but the guy is effective and does a lot of subtle, ugly but effective things in the ring.

Actually Jones was about a 2 to 1 favorite. Nice try though.
