Since when did Nigel Benn have a glass chin?
Against Watson he punched himself out. Against Eubank he punched himself out.
Sure, he was knocked clean out of the ring by McClellan - but we're talking about one of the hardest hitters of all time here. And let's not forget that Nigel took some huge bombs in that fight and remained on his feet.
Which leaves the three losses at the end of his career to Malinga and Collins twice. But everybody knows that Nigel was finished by then. His head was in pieces after McClellan's injury.
So where is the evidence for this dodgy chin?
The fact is Nigel could always take a punch. His problem was over-exuberance. Getting carried away and punching himself into a state of exhaustion.Comment

He could be shaken by punches fairly easily, but he always had the ability to settle the matter with one shot. The funny thing about Benn is that he seemed more resilient after rebuilding his career in america following the Watson fight.I didnt suggest that he had a glass chin, just a bit of a dodgy one. There is a huge difference.Since when did Nigel Benn have a glass chin?
