I understand more now than i did. Nevertheless, This does in no way mean i agree. I have found out that boxing is not as big in the UK as it is in the states. Very view people no much about the sport. I know people in the states who don't know who Bernard Hopkins is for example. Its the same in the UK just the US is huge in comparison. Europe is huge with 30 European fighters in the top ten,rated by Ring. In comparison to the US with 32. Not leaving out all the small countries and Islands surrounding. Panama has 6 in the top ten vs The UK's 7 . Panama only has a 2million population. So i can see the sport of boxing may not be that big and the UK guys don't care to get into the sport. VS In the states some get into fresh off the streets to keep from going to prison or going back to prison. I personally did it to keep from going back. The life and culture is a huge difference in comparison to the UK and US. I commend The UK for traveling out of there country to go thousands of miles to see Ricky Hatton fight in America. I don't think the US would go to Europe or the UK Africa or anywhere by the thousands to see a fighter .No matter who it is. With all this said, I must remind you that this doesn't make me agreeable , more so understanding. I will never be convinced Calzaghe is a great fighter until he beats Top Echelon guys. Credit to Hatton for doing this much recently. Final note: I see why now, that you root for your countryman. I would too. But, keep in mind that before you start ranting and raving, remember the guys have to fight top guys and beat some too and maybe loose to a few before you call the Man Great.
