Here I am, readin through these posts and this whole place made it seem like Barrera got whooped on. But I'm watchin the fight and Barrera is standin toe to toe with Khan and it's Amir who got tagged in the second round and grabbed Barrera lmao, he just got hurt to the body again and raised his hands like Paq. All that speed and reach from Khan and Barrera doesn't even seem like it's ****in with him. Khan's flurries look like arm punches, Barrera isn't even fazed by em. He's tryin to come forward with head movement and trying to throw, but when ever that blood starts to flow he gets a little more tentative. That blood's in his eye, but he's not running away or covering up, he's comin forward lookin for his shots, but it looks like he can't see well enough to throw or somthin. Barrera's head movement and footwork are workin for him as good as it ever has, even with that blood on his face he's still avoiding shots fairly effectively, and tryin to walk Khan down. I just don't know if he can see well enough to throw.
Alright, the fights over but Marco didn't look nearly as bad as this place made it seem, holy ****, lol that's the last time I read this **** before seein a fight. The only question I'm askin, is if Barrera would have had the energy to keep that pace up. I mean he was rollin with punches and movin his head perfectly, but how much was that taxin his stamina? I mean Khan wasn't even hurting him, yet when Barrera was able to dig and land, he hurt Khan. And it seemed the only time Barrera started to get really defensive was when the blood started to flow. I mean it looked like Barrera took full advantage of every window of vision he had, specifically early in the rounds when the blood was stopped briefly. And he didn't look all that bad at all.
You guys made it seem like Barrera was done, but I'm not even sure if that's the case. Amir showed speed, but no real power, when a lot of other lightweights have both. So obviously Marco at lightweight against any of those fighters would be risky, but Marco was gettin off some fast hard shots when he could. And again, no one really has a chin like Amir's so Barrera lookin as strong as he did could be an illusion based off that. I don't know, Barrera definitely didn't look shot though. I don't even know if a rematch with Khan would even make sense, so I doubt that fight would take place. But I can see him fightin the Julio Diaz vs Casamayor winner, those are the only significant match ups I can think of for Barrera.
