Just got bored and tapped this out. Tried to limit it to in the ring goings on.
Hope I didnt forget anyone.
Winners
1. Amir Khan - Beat a legend of his era. Barrera might have been faded, but there were just as many people picking against Khan as there were picking for him. Didn't answer all the question, but is back to taking 2 steps forward as opposed to the 1 back he took after Prescott
2. Roman Martinez - Went from the middle of the Puerto Rican prospects pack to near the front of the line, and picked up an alphabet strap at the same time.
3. Lucian Bute - Zuniga was no world beater, but was supposed to be durable and Bute dropped him without trouble. Got another defense under his belt, and maybe some confidence back after the Andrade debacle.
4. Arthur Abraham - Notched another title shot, and made it past the adversity of being weight drained. Got the added bonus of having the fact that his opponent wasn't elite, since Pavlik announced his next opponent would be Sergio Mora
5. Giovani Segura - Avenged his loss to Canchilla, and got his momentum back.
6. Lamon Brewster - Got a decent win overseas, and keeps his name in the HW mix, where title shots are given out for less.
8. Ola Afolabi - Didn't exactly hit the lottery, I mean it is just the CW division, and Macca, but atleast he assured himself of one last decent payday.
9. Takahira Aoh - Avenged his loss, and got his strap back in stronger fashion than he lost it. Larios is a decent name for his resume.
10. Milan Melindo - Boxings smallest division is just as wide open as boxings largest, so a win over a gig name like Rachman pretty much assures you a titleshot.
Losers
1. Marco Antonio Barrera - Might be at the end of his road, the cut might have given him an excuse for losing, but coming off 2 subpar performances the loss to Khan puts him at the back of the line
2. Cesar Canchilla - Lost any momentum he might have had going into a potential fight with Calderon by losing a match he shouldn't have even signed back up for after the first attempt at the rematch fell through.
3. Nicky Cook - Second time a fellow youngster on the world level stepped past Cook. Lost his strap at the same time.
4. Oscar Larios - Saw his short live renasiance go by the wayside, as he is 1 and done in what might be his last title reign.
5. Muhammed Rachman - Yet another proud veteran that couldn't keep up with a youn up and coming opponent.
6. Enzo Maccarinelli - Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory
7. Micheal Sprott - Its back to the "Danny Williams, Audley Harrison, Matthew Skelton Circuit" permanently
8. Bradley Price - Watched his winning streak and Commonwealth title go away in epic fashion.
9. Gairy St. Claire, Felix Machado, & Lolenga Mock - Had the final nails driven into their career coffins.
10. Fulgencio Zuniga - Don't think he landed a single solid shot, and looked totally out of his eliment. Three strikes and he is probably out of title shots.
Hope I didnt forget anyone.
