There is no doubt in my mind that the cut **** Barrera up big time. Barrera would've beaten A Mere Con if it wasn't for that horrible cut.
I watched the first round of the Barrera-Khan fight again

Khan is the new Mexicutioner.
First he beats Ortiz in the amatuers, then he retires MAB and splits his head open in the process.Comment

Personally, I would've stopped the fight. And I think any non bias viewer can agree that it is possible the fight should've been stopped before 4 rounds.
I haven't seen a gash that bad in a long time.
Whether or not he would've won is a moot point, since it's in the records already. And Marco himself wanted to continue, like a warrior.
But I challenge anybody to say Barrera wouldn't have fought a better fight, were it not for the constant flow of blood in his eye.Comment

Dont hate. Deep down even MAB knows he got spared a severe beating. He was hardly a live wire in there.Comment

I can agree with that. Had the cut not happened, Khan was likely to cruise to a UD anyway, thanks to his speed.
But Barrera would've put on a much better performance as the rounds went on and Khan started slowing down, and the cut robbed us of any opportunity to see that.Comment

Khan got a lucky break. MAB would taken advantage of the energy Khan burned up in the early rounds. Amir was about to shoot is bolt, if that went long. Believe me Barrera would of caught upto him around 7/8 when his reflexes slowed down and the and pace lessened.Comment
