Truth. That gash was insane, how could you not see it was legitimate reason to stop it? Khan didn't prove anything with this fight, he was basically fighting a blind person.

This pretty much goes without saying,.

Had Khan been cut it would have been stopped in 1st round.

The only good thing about this is that maybe it will make Barerra retire and it will give Khan a chance to come back now with renewed confidence against people his own size

      How bout Khan- Ali Funeka?

You're absolutely right. It should have been stopped earlier, and been a no contest.

Notice also it was right after Barrera landed a hook that bucked Khan, the ref took Barerra over to the doctor the second time?

that cut would not stop bleeding from the minute it opened up, there was no difference between the 1st round and the 5th round, they were just waiting to give khan the decision

Khan PROBABLY would have outboxed MAB anyway, but that cut was severe and gave MAB a 0% chance of winning. Should have been examined and stopped way earlier, but they had to let it go further to give Khan the decision instead of a NC. Pretty disgraceful if you ask me.

If they wanted to rob him, the ref could have ruled the cut was caused by a punch. He ruled that it was caused by an accidental head butt. Because he ruled it was such, Barrera could have stopped the fight during the fourth by telling the doctor he couldn't continue and they would have stopped the fight and it would have been declared a no-contest. Instead Barrera said that he was able to go on and put himself in a position to where the fight could go to the cards.

You know Barrera isn't going to take the easy way out. Why are you blaming Barrera anyway, it is the referees job to see if a cut is bad enough to stop the fight, not the boxer's. Fighter's fight and that's what Barrera did regardless of the shoddy officiating.
