if b-hop fights like he did vs kelly he will win this easy

the only possible things that will trouble hop is adameks power and size advantage

hopkins has the chin and defence to contend with adameks power

and his skills and superior ring smarts will nullify the size advantage

hopkisn thrives off fighting come forward fighters, adamek is one of them but he can also adapt and is very tough & tenacious

nontheless i think hopkins wins this fight by UD, 116-112 or 117-111 sounds about right

adameks best chance is to pressure hopkins, come behind his jab and keep throwing, no way will he be able to outbox him

he will probably steal a few rounds with aggression and if b-hop slows down a little due to the extra weight and age

but yeah b-hop by UD, should be a decent fight though with adamek pressing forward

this fight is far from being a reality.
      hop has been jokin.
this would be his retirement fight.

Wow so Hopkins is actually serious about this, hes a great fighter and all but come fight night hes going to be in a world of shock. You just can't expect a man at 44 years of age to move up in weight and outpoint and a young, stronger hungrier and naturally bigger champion that has the style to trouble him. We are going to see a big difference in the boxing ability and speed of Adamek compared to the skill set of Pavlik.

one thing that i've noticed and has made me feel a little better if hopkins were to take this fight, is that adameks recent ko's in his last fights since moving to cruiser have come from lapses in focus, guys getting caught with shots, basically a lapse in defense. something which hopkins doesn't do. hopkins doesn't get caught with shots out of no where.

like i said, hopkins making adamek fight his fhght and control the pace, using angles and good foot work, hopkins can win this fight.

it's the physical advantages, abilities, stamina, and adaptability of adamek that makes him dangerous, and if he uses it right he can beat up hopkins.

if adamek were to bully hopkins about the ring and really impose his size, we would see hopkins in another fight that resembles his first fight with mercado, all sorts of rough............. who knows?

I still do not understand how or why you claim that the three fighters who lost to Calzaghe saw their stock rise. In my opinion Kessler would have been the man to beat at Super Middle regardless if he fought Joe or not. And since he lost to Joe he has fought two meaningless fights and is in a major squabble with his promoters. I may be wrong but to me it does not sound like Kessler's career is going in the right direction since his "beneficial" lose to Joe. As far as Manfredo is concerned his stock peaked when he competed on the "Contender". And if not for that Manfredo would have been just another club fighter from Rhode Island and Joe would have never fought him. As far as the Lacy fight is concerned I think it was Calzaghe's stock that rose. Simple because many thought that Joe was an overrated European fighter who fought soft competition. He surprised many by thoroughly beating Lacy and their careers have gone in opposite directions since.

As far as the low blow is concerned. I am not sure when Joe claimed he intentionally hit Hopkins low, and I am not claiming the quotes are false I am just not sure of the source. With that said. The quote was discussing the low blow in the second round and had nothing to do with the phantom low blow in the tenth round. You say he was tired I say he was hurt. Regardless would he have made it through the round if he did not take a dive, who knows? What I do know is that I have seen a many of fighters who had never been stopped get KOed late in their careers. Now, don't get me wrong I am not comparing Hopkins to them but Aaron Pryor, Ray Leonard and Pernell Whitaker come to mind. So, it does happen even to the best of them.

As far as the Adamek fight. I do not believe that Adamek thinks he has to fight Hopkins to prove himself. He is a two division champ and has beat two of the top Cruiserweights while in the process of winning the Ring title. I believe that his win over Cunningham elevated his stock way beyond a lose to Hopkins would ever do. Honestly that scenario makes little sense to me. I simple believe that Adamek is an old school fighter who will fight anyone put in front of him. To me you make it sound as if Adamek sold out and is going to show up knowing he is going to lose. Am I misunderstanding you or do you honestly believe that?
              Good response.

I don't have the interview but calzaghe says it himself. He said Hop was hitting him with his head so he hit him low. I think you're right about it being in the second round. BUT if one admittedly hits low the first time what's to stop them from doing it again if they feel (again) that they are being cheated or hit illegally. Frustration if you ask me. And this is what Hop will do to Adamek. But IMO Calzaghe Hop should have been a DRAW with a MANDATORY rematch clause (due to the draw). MAKE/FORCE Joe Calzaghe to fight a rematch for once in his career. Dont get me wrong I know he does/DID a rematch when he KO'ed a guy in the 1st round (Mario Veit). But not a guy that could actually beat him in a rematch.

On the topic of Lacy Kessler. They both were in the headlines for weeks on ends. It was up to them to come back and become something. My point was BEFORE Joe they weren't anyone special. Joe made a name for them. Seriously. Before Joe they were just undefeated guys that never been tested (so to speak). They took on Joe and became top headlines.

Anyway about Adamek. I don't think he's going into this thinking and knowing he will lose. You cant be a professional boxer to have that mind set. My point was, who is he now? I mean his name is getting more play now because Hopkin's name is brought up along side of his. I'm not saying he's selling out in those exact words. I'm just saying it's a win win situation for him even if he loses. He will have made a name and his stock will rise. Its up to HIM to follow up. Kessler and Lacy failed. Wont mention Manfredo. lol. Anyway I'm not writing Adamek off, I'm just saying HOP fights like a 25-30 year old, looks like a 20 year old and regardless of his business attitude (aka ass-hole at times) he is a smart guy with the BEST defense in the game. I've never in my life time seen anyone that has better D. That's just me.

Anyway I see Hop winning a UD. He's a season vet and knows what must be done to add weight the right/smart way. He will come in there looking like a natural cruiser weight and to the average boxing fan that knows nothing of Adamek will have Hop as the favorite.

It'll be interesting. I hope the fight happens. I actually hope Hop looks good at that weight and will move up and take on a heavy and retire with some kind of belt and stay retired for good. Wishful thinking I know.

B-Hop is gonna make Adamek look ****** in there. Other than the 3rd division ring title, Bernard has nothing to prove. Only way he loses if he grows old overnight or isn't motivated enough for the fight.

When he whooped Tarver or Pavlik, did he fight dirty?? Even in his SD loss to Calzaghe he didn't fight dirty. Clinched a lot, but not dirty.
He clinched and lunged forward with his head butting Calzaghe a few times, and faked a low blow injury buying himself time to rest. Dirty and cheap if you ask me. Bernard clinches and holds more then or just as much as anyone, yet he's praised for it being called crafty while guys like hatton, and ruiz are bashed. Gotta love those double standards we have on this board.
