something to be said for this. there is always underlying hate for boxers who come up the easy way. olympic pedigree, everyone on his nuts, tons of crappy fights on tv with everyone jocking him. then he steps up and blam!

very few guys get these opportunities and as for hatton, there are a ton of haters of his on this site alone too. khan isn't special

In my opinion Khan has taken a hell of a lot of flack for a young fighter, so what can he do to stop the hate?

Sure there are times when he has seemed over confident, but surely in boxing you gotta believe in your ability against any opponent?

The race thing isnt just the only factor a lot of ppl look at personality to and if ppl dont like that then ther not gonna want him to win. Much the same way i dont like Carl Froch`s personality and want him to lose badly to Taylor. I agree the fact he is a ****** dosent help him in a time when they get a lot of hate from none ******s for the actions of extremists, much the same as us English get a bad rep for been drunken football hooligans. as for the question there aint much he can do cos if ppl wanna hate him there gonna it dont make a difference same as some ppl love pbf and some think hes a **** just cos he wins or loses its not gonna change a thing ppl will still hate.

Anyway...

I don't think racism is the main reason why Khan is hated. There are some racist people in the UK, but not that many. The race issue is probably blown out of proportion. Khan is not as hated as some people are making him out to be. I think the real problem is Khan was hyped so much by the media, but then he disappointed due to being matched with poor opposition. The Prescott KO didn't help, either.

Myself, I quite like Amir Khan. He never struck me as being ****y or arrogant. In boxing, you need to have a certain amount of confidence and believe in yourself anyway.

Every fighter, doesn't matter who they are, is picked on and hated by someone. Even Manny Pacquiao, possibly the nicest guy in boxing. The more famous they become, the more negative attention they will receive. Ali was also hated back in the day. Now he is seen by many as the greatest of all time.

plus another reason i belive Kahn gets hate is all the hype hes had around him Warren makes out hes gonna be an atg the way he talks about him Naseem hamed got flak for been asain but he won fights and proved he was a great boxer whats kahn done everytime hes handed a chance hes come second yet he still gets **** gift wrapped for him and yet other fighters who are better and prove they are time and time again get nothing thats another reason

i agree race isnt a big factor really and round where i live (im gonna get crucified for saying this) theres a lot of black ppl who are wosre than the white ppl theres gangs of black kids go purposly looking to beat up white kids and many times have i heard black ppl shout racist things at white ppl yeah they shout things to bt from what ive seen round my town thats how it is me personally i dont give a **** about race where all one race if u skinned everyone u wouldnt no black from white so y does it matter
