I'm in no way saying for certain that Hatton will win against Pacquiao - I'm not delusional like Pac nuthuggers - but this is NOT going to be an easy fight for Pacquiao. Hatton IS durable, IS improving under Mayweather Snr, IS alot faster than most people give him credit for and WILL pose problems for Manny on the night. If Pacquiao can withstand Hattons power shots, then he will win the fight undoubtedly. But Pacquiao WILL get hit in this fight, and thats one thing we know for certain.

pacquiao is a southpaw. how often has hatton dealt with a unorthodox fighter? most southpaws outside asia are also the slick boxer types. aggressive southpaw sluggers and boxer-punchers are a totally different animal.

pacquiao shoots his punches very straight. bad news for a lunging fighter like hatton.

Yea, all this speculation before a fight is one thing, but once the fighters actually get into the ring and face eachother for the first time its completely different. Nothing in boxing is EVER a sure thing. Roll on May 2nd that's for sure lol

I was thinkin this before he fought Paulie cuz he looked awful against Lazcano, but he actually appeared pretty strong against Paulie. Who knows if his camp is talkin for real or just spoutin hype sayin he already looks great. He oughta not rush gettin down to fightin weight too soon, cuz he can't afford to be stale against Pac. Well he's currently around 158 so I would say thats a good weight to be at this moment in time. From people who have seen him in training, hes apparantly never looked this good at this stage before a fight.

I never said nobody else was strong at the weight, hence the reason I credited Urango. There all strong, but Ricky has shown consistenly over a decade his expertise in out muscleing guy's at 140lb.

if he is so damn superior in strength in comparison to everyone else at 140 , i don't see why he couldn't handle a 7 lb. jump in weight class that well.

diaz is one tough sob , mate. you forget the guy has had more fights at 147 than ricky.

Yeah but against who?? certainly not a Mosley or Williams or someone of that stature. I'm pretty sure if Ricky fought the calibre of fighters that Diaz did at 147 he would do just fine.

Ricky has always had an effective jab but at his own admission he just abandoned it for the Tszyu fight and went lunging forward. Coming from Wales you must have followed Ricky in the early days??? U would know that he always used to set up his attacks with ''Corkscrew uppercutts/Jabs'' etc

You may not have said it, but 8/10 people on this board picked malinaggi over Hatton, id say it's now 5/10 picking Pac over Hatton so it seems overall people think hatton has more left now than they did pre malinaggi, also how come when Cotto beat that bum Jennings people were creaming thier pants about him being "back" when hattons far more imporessive schooling of malinaggi apparently means nothing.

I think Pacquiao will stop him on cuts. It's hard to tell just how Hatton will approach the ball of fire who is Manny Pacquiao.

Yeah, I was thinking that there is definitely a chance of early 'tko stoppage' by head butt/clash of heads. Just the basic style components of each fighter scream cuts in this fight.
