    The best fighter to earn the least money?

    who you got? for me is mike mccallum, followed by jeff chandler

    Are we adjusting for inflation? Or is just the lowest overall total.

    I think I will go with Charley Burley, but even with him I think I could go further back when boxing was even more segregated in the US and find a great fighter that probably never got any real good shots to make decent money.

            I dont know most fighters' payrolls...but Ill go ahead and say Langford, since he had a million fights and wins over a number of lineal champs and yet ended up blind and poor in a shack and died there.

            or so Ive heard.

              You could go on and on with fighters, especially the black ones, in the first half of the 20th century.

              They weren't fighting 25 times a year for their health.
