Canada prospect of the year Pierre Olivier Cote (5-0 3KO) wasted no time taking less than a minute to dispatch Jesus Antonio Guitierrez (5-3-1 2 KO) of Mexico in a battle of featherweights. The fight lasted just :58 seconds, and Gutierrez spent a lot more time than that on the canvas before being helped to his feet.

Heavyweight Eric Martel (2-0 1KO) made easy work and scored his first knockout over debuting Igor Konnov, a native of Belarus now living in Montreal. After going toe-to-toe for the twenty seconds, Konnov was done in by a jab and went down hard to the canvas. After several failed attempts to get up, this one was in the books at 1:10 of the first round.

The torch has been passed down as far as Quebec female boxing goes with Natalie Forget making her pro debut with Danielle Bouchard in her corner. Forget, a silver medalist at the 2008 world championships in Turkey scored a 40-36 victory on all three scorecards over Wendy Roy of British Columbia. Bouchard now 41 has been basically the only woman of Quebec boxing and most recently fought for a world championship last July in Argentina. Forget, 34 years old, the same as her mentor Bouchard when she made her debut, peppered Roy throughout the contest, dominating the action. Not everything landed for Forget, but a solid left hook and good ring movement secured the victory over Roy who still remains winless in six fights.

I think I'll watch this instead of the justin Shobox stream.

Much better picture quality, and I'd sooner hear the French language than that ***** Steve Farhood's negativity against Bute.
