Taylor has become a good boxer; countless fights against elite opposition has taught him a thing or two. When he first met Hopkins he was more athletic than skillful. I think those God-given talents have diminished a bit but he's gotten more cerebral. This is actually a good window for him - he can make some noise at 168 and set up a big fight against Kessler or Hopkins. Both would be intriguing. Plus - Joe Calzaghe is retired. But I'm not ready to adorn him with something he hasn't yet attained. Froch will be a good test - not just of his skill but his punch resistance and confidence, both I believe have diminished as well. If he's able to prove that both are up to snuff, he can become what HBO dreamed about when they first signed him.
