Eric Gomez, Vice President of Golden Boy Promotions, informed Doug Fischer of The Ring Online, that attempts are being made to match unbeaten junior middleweight James Kirkland (25-0, 22 KOs) against WBO champion Sergei Dzindziruk (36-0, 22 KOs) of Germany. The fight would take place on June 27 with HBO televising. If Dzindziruk falls through, WBA champion Daniel Santos is being looked at as another possibility for Kirkland. [details]

kirkland is only a brawler, Dzindziruk will easily beat him.

hell nah. anit no way Sergi is lasting 12 rounds...NOT HAPPENING. Im not saying Sergi isnt good because he is, its just he cant last 12 rounds. It took him 12 rounds for Juilo who was actually doing alright against Sergi, now he you think he hangs with Kirkland?? he better get ready for straight lefts and body work, and get on that bike
