technically Mayweather didn't really win by ko because hatton fell on his own so it should be counted as a tko. A proper ko is more like what pavlik did to taylor.

Technical Knock Out, meaning technically he was knocked out... meaning he was knocked out because he took so much punishment that he collapsed in the corner and Cortez had to wave the fight off, oh yeah and Team Hatton threw in the towel just afterward.

You guys can keep saying it isn't a KO but it is, I can't believe people can't give fighters credit for a KO/TKO win... they both virtually mean the same, the fighter couldn't continue. I understand what your saying but they still kinda have the same concept, it was an example to say that Mayweather KO'd Hatton which he did... it can't be argues really. Plus, people are trying to bring up the ring post crap saying he was lucky but there just bitter.

the check hook wasn't a ko punch, hatton fought on, but the ringpost did the damage.

Hatton was still able to fight on and even when Mayweather threw his last punch, Hatton was still standing -eventually falling over by himself with exhaustion.

Mayweather isn't a knockout artist and Hatton could take his punches, but the double hit of the ringpost was too much, bad luck.

Hatton was getting hurt in the round before Mayweather knocked him out.
