    People of German descent....

I'm trying to find an old friend. His name phonetically is "Cufsaw Shout", but I'm not sure if I'm spelling that correctly. Anyone of German descent can help with the spelling would be appreciated.

The surname is definitely "Schaut". The other I'm not sure about, I think your pronunciation of it could have been off a bit.

Ok, thanks man! Off to an excellent start. I've tried Schoute, Schout, Shout, Shoute, but not Schaut.

Regarding the first name, that is the way we said it. We were good friends for a while. His nickname was "Cuff", and as far as I knew, saying it fully was "Cuffsaw".

Ok, The Schaut did it. I just found a google reference to him. It's "Cufsaw Schaut". Right age and city, unfortunately the reference was a DWI.

        Thanks for the help man...

        Cheers.

No problem. The first name may not be of German origin, it was throwing me off quite a bit. That final "w" would be pronounced "v" in German, and the "C" would likely be a "K".
