Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. Carving Out His Own Legacy

By Jake Donovan - Yo soy Boricua. Pa que tu lo sepas.

Any self-respecting Puerto Rican recognizes the aforementioned chant – “I am Boricua (Puerto Rican), just so you know that,” for those in need of an English translation. Boxing fans in the Central Florida region have begun to identify it as the single line theme music for undefeated super bantamweight Wilfredo “WV2” Vazquez Jr. [details]

Hell rule the SBW division, in like 2 years.

he is the real deal, and have power. That draw pn his record was a BS draw in mexico, to a journey man, he was winning all the rounds, but you know.

Vazquez is fun to watch. Wish him the best in the future. I don't think he will make the noise though like JML is doing.

The Vazquez jr-Beranza fight is a very interesting. Beranza is coming off an upset win over highly rated prospect Jesus Rojas and he managed to hurt Jonathan Oquendo so he might not be there just for the pay check.

Vazquez jr has no amateur experience and is learning on the job. Hes being brought up by his dad's team and they have been doing a nice job hyping him up. He better be ready for this one because it mught turn into a real fight. To his credit i saw his draw against a mexican kid and he showed a lot of heart. He was spent after the 4th and fought on bare guts the rest of the fight. Ive seen other prospects fold under the same circumstances so at least we know his Bulova is ticking right on his chest

Beranza is way more seasoned than Cardenas tho so if you enjoy watching highly touted prospects get upset you might want to see this one. Hopefully hes ready for the test.
