definitely take on adamek, he will get a lot of credit for it and its a new weight class so he can be 3 division champ, it would help his legacy.

I dont like a Dawson fight for him. He has problems with guys with speed and could loose a ud, plus Dawson isnt undisputed champ at 175 so he wont get much credit even if he wins as if he beats the champ at cruiser.

If he wants to cap it off with a Roy Jones fight at 175 at the end of the year just for old times sake I would be fine with that, it could be both of their farewell fights. (though I think roy still wants to keep fighting).

I mean Hops is still looking good and kicking ass in there but he is getting old and you have to stop at some time. Thats why I wouldnt fault him for picking the right guys and avoiding dawson, no use in lowering his legacy with another loss.

Oh as for the heavyweight thing.... um bad timing. Klits and Valuev got all the belts. There were some ****ty guys in there a few years ago that he should have had a go at if he wanted a HW belt but not today.

That would be pretty insane, him taking on 320 lb Valuev, hmm lol

If he does go for it, like I think he will. Valuev will be his target.

He's be a smaller Heavyweight, probably around 200lbs. His goal would be to stick and move, and he'd completely school the overrated hairy ape, with movement and counters.

I really have no interest in seeing Hopkins move up to heavyweight to capture some meaningless belt. At least Adamek in the legitimate champ at cruiserweight.

He could definitely make a run at Heavyweight, he's faster and more skilled than any of the Champions up there, except the Klitschkos. As long as he avoids them, he'll be fine.

Cruiserweight is just testing the water for that I believe, to see how the added weight will effect his speed and power. Not to mention his stamina, he still has that thyroid condition. It could show up again in the ring at any given time.

I really don't either. But I think it's something he wants just as another notch on his belt. Not to mention, Roy did it. And Bernard and Roy are eternal competitors. When Roy did it, he took on the weakest link in Ruiz, and got tons of credit for it.

Somehow, I don't think Hopkins has forgotten that.

Do you think RJJ and Bhop will ever fight again?

The thyroid condition is generally considered to be the reason why he gassed out against Calzaghe.

Because Dan Rafael was the only reporter to break the story on it, pre-Calzaghe.

Hopkins himself has never used it as an excuse though, which I think speaks volumes about the man.

Bernard and Naazim are supposedly treating it with a particular dieting technique. It must be working : He looked stellar against Pavlik.
