For a guy that just got knocked out 2 fights ago and who is still learning the game it is a very big step up imo.

Never mind how old MAB is, the guy is a Super bantamweight who hasn't had a single meaningful fight at the weight.

Why should you get credit for beating a three weights above his natural weight.

I know Khan wouldn't beat Barrera at his best. But to say he's totally shot simply because he lost to Khan is unfair. Khan is very overlooked IMO. He has his flaws, mainly that aweful, aweful chin of his. But apart from that, his main issue was his gameplans IMO, he often fought the wrong fight (e.g. turning to Gomez fight into a phonebox fight when he could win easily from the outside), but with Roach in his corner he should come in with a better gameplan. Khan has great handspeed, a good jab, throws good combos, has good power, he has a great offensive arsenal. Very overlooked IMO.

No, I don't think he'll be a world champ (Meaning the #1, not just an ABC titlist) because of his chin. But that doesn't mean he's nothing.

Barrera is still a skilled veteran, good tactics, power, and that takes some over coming still. I'd respect Khan for showing the maturity, tact, and game plan to beat him even still now.

I fancy a punt of 10k on MAB, pm if you fancy backing Khan.

ill respect him only if barrera looks like he was a challenge and Khan is improved, but i wont like him and ill still expect him to get knocked out very soon, i still dont think he is world class nor should he be getting all this special treatment, i mean getting a fight with Barrera after getting knocked out by a nobody and never having faced a half decent opponent deserves no respect or very little, he is been fast tracked and avoiding all decent fighters we have been spun countless lies about him, there is much more deserving fighters out there in this division and he aint ranked 10th in boxing news he is somthing like 60th

                oh please

by definition it's a step down to walk into a fight you are favourite to win against a past-prime super bantamweight after being knocked out in 0.372 seconds

surely your logical next step after beating up on some helpless council employee would be to avenge the loss? (funny how this doesn't appear to be in Khan or Warren's agenda whatsoever)

I agree his offense could give anyone an amount of problems when utilised correctly

But i will say i think Khan is not a world-class fighter nor does he have the potential to be one. For an Olympic medalist his technique is terribly unpolished and, well, amateurish... He seems to lack any sign of ring-intelligence and we all know about that chin of his. Barrera at even 50% of his prime self would have Khan outta there in the first 2 rounds, probably quicker than Prescott did even

Also this is clearly a gamble for khan but calculated for warren, khan has much to warren has options on Barrera he wins either way, this is khans last fight that is contracted to sky pay per view so it would be ideal for warren to swithch it for Barrera title showdown, its very clever and shows warren to be covering his own back incase his cash cow is taken to slaughter, he had to do a big fight like this tojustify the ppv, its a mistake for khan but not for warren

                      I agree.

I think Khan has world class talent. I think your reference to his in ring intelligence was the same as what i was getting at with his lack of game plan, I think Roach should be able to help with this somewhat. Although, it's pretty obvious Khan lacks the ability to make mid-fight adjustments like true greats do. And his chin...yea that's just ****.
