Haha, actually I have already heard "Hasegawa vs Darchinyan" talk.

He wont move up tho. Japanese fighters dont normally move up for more competition.

Hasegawa KO1 is VERY impressive. He's getting towards low P4P level consideration.

Darchinyan is the one moving up...

Anyway, I'm hearing people saying, like, "Give us Hasegawa - Darchinyan and make it happen in Las Vegas!" or "Let Hasegawa move up to face Juanma!" Now I think Hasegawa is qualified to be considered in top 10 pound for pound rating.
yeah we are kidding. It's all good. I'm a little worried Hasegawa might have the same problem that Mijares did with Darchinyan though...Hasegawa kind of seemed uncomfortable with Valdez's southpaw stance (though Hasegawa is "normally" a slower starter, but still concerns me...) and I think Darchinyan's awkward angles could be a nightmare for him just like he was for Mijares.

Hasegawa is a great fighter and I'd pick him to win (not against Lopez though. He's to big), but it worries me. I'm definitely not underestimating Vic again...

Who else does he need to beat in the Bantamweight division to be construed as a P4P contender? A unification fight with Moreno is the only answer I can come up with off hand. It's a shame Japan doesn't authorize the IBF and the WBO as legitimate sanctioning bodies.

I assume Hasegawa is no longer uncomfortable with southpaw fighters. In the post fight interview in the ring, he said the first jab he took was quite solid, so he stayed on his toes so as not to let up. Acknowledging that Malinga was a bit nervous, Hasegawa hit him with a prefectly timed counter left hand and scored a knockdown. From there on out, it was Hasegawa's SHOWTIME. The left cross-counter that finished Malinga off was too beautiful to describe. AS far as I'm concerned, that punch easily deserves Knockout of the Year. I'll give him that.

Darchinyan is quick, powerful and fierce. Hasegawa is intelligent and skilled enough to deal with all those Vic's great attributes. Vic has nothing much to prove at superfly. He should meet Hasegawa in the ring before he goes up to super bantam.

Hasegawa would be wise to stick around. All the money and good time fighters are coming up from 115 such as Mijares (fights saturday for interim WBA title), Montiel (fights 3/28), and probably Darchinyan.

Mijares vs Hasegawa will probably happen imo.

Hasegawa fights a little like Mijares, he's more aggressive though, and he can get hit by overhand lefts because of the way he keeps his right hand out there sometimes when he jabs but I like the way he takes a step or two back when his opponents try to hit him with something and then he would come back with his own shots, which would work against Darchinyan.

Yea so that kid yordan get the title easy....and rise the price of his fights for next... i see after guerrero quit fighting Yordan...no body wants to fight yordan, a rematch won't happen, even Luevano & CJ duck him... .....it's bad for the young yordan's career....

Aoh vs Yordan .....is good for Yordan...
