But they don't. Why? Beacause of the risk/reward ratio.
It doesn't matter whose fault it is. The bottom line is that Kess hasn't had a big fight since Joe and it is killing him bigtime. Unfortunately if he doesn't get going soon he will have wasted what could have been great prime years of his career. It is primarily up to him. It is too easy just to say noone wants to fight me, that is all just bull**** in the end, he needs to go out and make them.

It's pretty ridiculous when you put Hatton (best of his division without many belts) and Kessler (best of his division with belts) and one is called out by everyone in and out of the division, the other calls out everyone and get's fuck all. It's a crying shame that boxing has come to that.
It's not what it's coming to Kris. It has ALWAYS been like that.

Hatton is a big money fight for anyone because of his huge following. Kessler might be more popular in Denmark than Hatton is in Britain, but that doesn't count for much when you count the money because britain has maybe 50 million ppl. Denmark has 5 million.

Since when has a fighter negotiated fights for himself? Pull the other one.

Bat I know exactly what Hattons landing them and Kessler isn't, of course. I also know and agree it's always been like that. But it's the level it's come to, that I'm talking about. It's not getting any better, but worse.

As for how much blame Mikkel takes, it's a strange set of unfortunate circumstances mostly causing it, and it is largely him being a lesser known euro fighter, which really peaves me. I agree you should try and help yourself get bigger fights, but he's done exactly that in calling out not one, but 6 big names. How many fighters out there right know can you say have done that? There is only so much he can do.

I admire him for being strong enough to not go along with his promoter anymore and fighting it out. But, given whom he's thinking of getting in yes, he does have some naivities to the sport that also don't help.

Well, some fighters do, but that isn't my point.

I want Kessler to be more proactive. It looks like he is finally doing that, which is good.

Noone is going to care in 10 years time whose fault it was, they are just going to say "Remember that guy Kessler? Oh yeah, the guy that looked good, then lost to Joe and never fought another guy with a live pulse."

He called out at least 6 fighters and travelled to the states 2-3 times and landed zero fights. Then his promotor tries to make a fight with countryman Mads Larsen, which is a fight all danes want to see, and fails. Then Kessler tries to break free of his promotor because he fails to deliver the goods. Surely he cannot do more than that. No question that he has the desire.

I'm not completely convinced. You keep saying that the other contenders should call him out. But then you agree that they won't, because of the risk/reward ratio. So if he wants to fight them he needs to be proactive and call them out. That's just life. And so far the only super-middleweight he's called out is Taylor, at a time when Taylor had already made it clear he wasn't ready for Kessler.

Calling out all those people in other divisions sounded good, but I still don't see what he'd done to make himself a big enough name for a big name Middleweight to want to move up to fight him, or for a Light Heavyweight champion to want to fight him at catchweight. It seems to me that it was predictable those people would turn him down; and I still don't understand why he hasn't tried to get any meaningful fights with any leading contenders in his own division, other than Taylor. I'm sure he could tempt Greene or Dirrel if he tried; or maybe shame Bute into fighting him; or get the Froch-Taylor winner.

Is Dave Rado your real name? Reason I ask is because my cousin was over here last night. He said "Rado? What's that? Sounds like something that clings to your face."

                  LOL!

                  Then he said "Dave Radox".

He's a bit barmy. Please excuse him.
