Cotto should win this fight, probably by decision. Would not be surprised to see a KO after a hard body punch.

This is definately a hard fight for both but i have got Joshua Clottey by split decision. His defense his more than good enough to hold up against cotto's offense and clotteys offense his quite good when he decides to let his hands go, and if he keeps his promise of taking the fight to cotto am not so sure that cotto can keep him off of him long enough to win the rounds.

im glad this fight was made. both fighters are good boxers and they always come to fight. im happy that clottey is finally getting an opportunity to unify the titles. also give alot of respect for stepping up to fight clottey. it seems that the welterweight division is doing pretty well without you know who.

            Good news!

I was giving Cotto a lot of S#!t before but now I give him major points for picking Joshua Clottey for his June 13th fight. If he can't rematch Margarito or Mosley might as well get the man that keeps em all under pressure Joshua Clottey.
Tough fight for me to call because of how slow Clottey starts off. He can't
afford to be all counter fighting Cotto because Cotto punches are heavy.

If Clottey stays true to his word and brings the fight to Cotto applying the pressure then I will go with Clottey. Clottey would be my favorite due to his defense, firm chin and pretty GOOD power. Miguel Cotto has GREAT power and a alright chin but this fight will pretty much be a test of who's has the best game plan & defensive strategy. I think this fight will be fought in the middle of the ring.

Good post, I agree with pretty much every word. Except, I'll believe that Clottey will put pressure on Cotto when I see it. It's just not his game. Maybe he will, but I'm still basing this off of his past. I just can't see him implementing that game plan. But if he does, he'll give Cotto a lot of problems.

This would be a great match up because what Clottey lacks in speed he certainly makes up for in power, stamina and defence.

I don't know about you guys but I think Cotto needs to be properly tested because although he was convincing against Jennings, Jennings was running scared and caused no particular problems for Cotto whereas Clottey should really be coming out gunning for Cotto's suspected fragile confidence.

Clottey likes to keep a high guard which may also work toward Cotto's favour with some slick body work! I hope this fight happens!
