im wit u! but u have 2 remember that on this site there are tooo many bias haters that know da truth but wont speak it...
yes is true, but there is also something call luck and Floyd had it when the judges gave him the first Castillo fight and then again with Judah, the other problem is that Floyd never wanted to fight the top guys and all because of money so I give credit to Floyd for is talent and skills but not for calling him self p4p best and still ducking the best guys because of money. If he was that good, why he didnt fight Mosley, Cotto, Williams...
This would be a great match up because what Clottey lacks in speed he certainly makes up for in power, stamina and defence.
I don't know about you guys but I think Cotto needs to be properly tested because although he was convincing against Jennings, Jennings was running scared and caused no particular problems for Cotto whereas Clottey should really be coming out gunning for Cotto's suspected fragile confidence.
Clottey likes to keep a high guard which may also work toward Cotto's favour with some slick body work! I hope this fight happens!
This will probably be Clottey's biggest challenge to date. I don't seem him absorbing the type of hits that Margarito took from Cotto.
People talk how SSM easily dispatched of AM, but AM took so many brutal shots from Cotto...like I told my wife after he beat Cotto, that it was AM's last great win and I think I'm right.
From what I seen of Clottey, his guard are way to high and he loses stamina faster than Cotto. He doesn't punch with as much authority although he has a great snapping jab.
The only thing I fear for Cotto is uppercuts, he tends to have his head low when going for the body and overhand rights.
Either way, there won't be a KO unless an out of this world punch lands, I see a UD in Cotto's favor. If Cotto looks impressive it will say alot about his recovery and mental state.
Also I've only read a few pages, but those questioning his resume should really take a better look and stop being so pin headed. At 28, he's got a great list that will only grow. SSM beat in my opinion a damaged goods AM whom Cotto really softened up and at the time was regarded as the most avoided boxer/fighter in the game outside of PW. Now Clottey is in the same boat. I just don't see Clottey having the superhuman chin that AM seemed to have last July.
Yeah, he doesn't know what he is talking about. Clottey certainly doesn't lack speed; his hands are very quick. He isn't a big puncher though and his stamina is decent.
That's definitely gonna be a potentially great fight...I say Cotto in the 10th.
About Floyd... "he just wanna get paid, he don't wanna real fight, everyone knows that."
once again cotto makes it difficult 4 any1 2 really hate him cause once again he goes 4 the so called avoided fighters. and if he wins big where does this set him in p4p rankings

"boxing won't retire me" - referring to cotto on welterweight
"cotto doesn't bring enough money" - referring to cotto after he fought baldomir
I think he was just saying he would fight anyone but implies he knows Mayweather is a problem because of elusiveness and superior speed / reflexes. All considered Cotto has and will put himself on the line against anyone, perhaps he wants to take the high road to the big money fight instead of insults etc. Bottom line he won't live down Marg unless he beats him AND Mosley again...they are the only road to Mayweather if at all b/c Mayweather at that point will be thoroughly shook...fall back to Pac for big money not bad though.
If this fight goes down, I have much respect for Cotto, win lose or draw.Someone needs to tell Floyd that this is the blueprint on how to become a legendary fighter, fight the best that's out there. You have to take chances in your career. In the last few years, Floyd has only fought b class fighters and struggled in some.I thought Zab was beating him the first 3 or4 rounds before he fell apart. Then Oscar just ran out of gas towards the end. What happens against a Cotto,Berto,Clottey, or Paul Williams? The great ones don't leave to many questions to be asked. With the fake ones, they will be retired and you'll be asking what if.
