I'm not sure how a guy who has been the champ of his division for 5 years, beat the man to become the champ and beat the No1 contender twice can be a fraud.

I know I have said this before, but most Hatton fans, myself included, do not like his performances from 2005 through to 2007/early 2008. Unfortunately most Hatton haters have only watched his performances through these years. It was his earlier fights which were much more exciting and he "hugged" no where near as much. His last performance was a return to the Hatton of old, and despite his B-class opposition, it was refreshing as he didn't do hardly any holding, if any. Against Pacquiao there will be constant pressure but no where near as much holding.

Incidently, I rewatched the Hatton/Mayweather fight, and bar the first 2 rounds, it was an embarrassing performance from Ricky - constant rushing in and hugging. He has shown that he knew he needed to change his game after that fight by opting for a new and much better trainer, and people who think he's going to revert to the Urango/Mayweather Hatton against Pacquiao are just plain wrong. His whole training camp is designed to get away from this style of fighting and to improve his skills and technique.

Very true. Hatton employed a style to crowd and smother Tszyu in order to not allow Kostya to get leverage on his right hand. Unfortunatey, he and Billy Graham were under the impression that these tactics would work against everyone at the top level.

Although to be fair, as someone pointed out, Hatton boxed excellently for the first half of the Urango fight and was affected in the latter rounds by a cold picked up during fight week

Someone obviously hasn't seen Wright/Hopkins. And I definitely wouldn't call Hops a fraud.

Yeah?! That sounds good and may be true until late when his fat ass catches up to him and reminds him of his lifestyle. Then we will get a care bear brawl filled with all the love any human can stand in a single meeting. Once fatigue sets in, its back to muscle memory and survival. The only thing that this fight will prove is whether or not Pacq is truly a p4p contender or another manufactured name in the sport! Hatton is suppose to beat this guy if he is really as good as the Brits make him to be.

Ironic how the man who birthed the phrase "it's a boxing match, not a tickling contest" spends most of his time in the ring sensually hugging and rubbing his opponent

If Ricky didn't clinch 20x a round against Urango,KZoo,Collazo,Maussa...he would've been defeated in all those fights.
