No one becomes Trainer of the Year twice by luck. And no, MAB is wrong for saying that PAC was "already made" prior Roach, if anything he improved a ton under Roach's tutelage. What Roach got was a raw talented fighter and now has turned into a sharp samurai sword.

What MAB has proven is that he has difficulty with tall, rangy, speedy fighters, and Khan is all of that. Khan's jab is solid, and his speed is comparable to PAC's.

If MAB can't get to that chin, the young Khan is gonna give MAB a similar beating that PAC gave the other Mexican(De La Joto) or knock MAB the f**k out between the 7-9th round, ya heard it here first.

Actually, I think this fight is gonna look similar to De La Joto vs. Chavez.

i honestly feel after seeing jmm's performance 2 weeks ago, mab will really want to put on some serious statement... i have no doubt that he will, but he really has to KO the brit to prevent some potential hometown decision...

Great find, thanks for posting this. Barrera is god.

That interviewer was a total ****, from start to finish.

And Barrera is right, Roach got lucky with Pacquiao. Pacquiao has the heart, smarts, desire, and most importantly, the talent to be a top fighter no matter who is training him.

Roach is an overrated trainer. Nearly every great fighter who Roach has trained, was already great before Freddie came along. Hopkins, Oscar, Tyson, Toney, Moorer, Vazquez, the list goes on and on.

He's just like Emmanuel Steward : a bandwagoner who jumps onboard with a fighter who's already pretty good, and gets way too much credit for it afterwards.

lol I said the same **** a long time ago.

Rafa Marquez is one of my all time favorite fighters, but what made the Izzy fights sweet, is that once Izzy lost the first fight, Roach left him, and after Roach left him, THEN Izzy won the biggest fights of his career. lol Roach really only became relevant when he got Paq and when he advised Paq to go up against only the stiffest of bodies. Roach tried to milk a name for Paq off our backs, only because they were ripe for it. lol It's kind of ironic that his name is Roach and that he carefully picks out the perfect fights for Paq like a Roach...

Now if Roach tries to do the same **** with Kahn and only fight the same weak ass fights that he's always tryin to get for Paq, that would be hilarious. But I don't think he'll be as succesfull in cherry picking for Kahn like he was with Paq. Kahn doesn't have a group of weak divisions to cherry pick and hop around in.

But I think every trainer has that "one fighter" that they look at as their son and try to baby. I think Roach's is Manny Packyow. Someone like Emanuel Steward had Hearns AND Hamed. I think Emanuel loved Hearns, but when it came to Hamed and avoidng fighters like Marquez, I think Steward just didn't want to deal with defeat again.

I dont think Roach is overrated, those who cant see improvements in Pacquiao's game are either literally blind or blinded by hate.I do think Freddie is talking a bit too much lately.

Roach was just a stable voice in the corner of a master. I don't think there's any trainer on earth who can teach Toney anything, all they can try to do to improve him is make him eat less and run more.

Oh absolutely. Manny was a diamond in the rough when Freddie found him. He was strictly a one-two punching lefty, now, he's a complete fighter.

Roach deserves all the credit in the world for helping mold Manny.

But that's it. Other than Manny, he's done fuck all as a trainer.
