Wladimir Klitschko vs. Alexander Dimitrenko would be a good matchup!

I'd like to see Alexander Dimitrenko the young Ukrainian heavyweight fight Wlad this spring, now that the Haye-Wlad fight is dead.

Dimitrenko is about the same size as Vitali, slightly taller than Wlad and has a longer reach than Wladimir, 83" to 81". He has weighed about 10-15 pounds more Wlad normally weighs in his recent fights.

Wlad would have no physical advantages, but his experience of 55 pro fights, including 21 fights against heavyweight contenders, would certainly be a factor. However, Dimitrenko would be very motivated and determined to win.

This is at least as interesting a matchup as Wlad vs. Haye for me, although I know most people in the US and the UK would prefer Haye.

I think any good fighter has at least a slim chance of defeating his opponent, so I voted for the second option.

I think Dimitrenko would have a better chance than Haye (5% instead of about 2%) of winning against Wlad.

That's because neither is an American or Latin American. I wouldn't have expected you to be.

But I for one would enjoy it...

I want to see Vitali vs Gomez and Wlad vs Haye. Neither are american. I enjoyed Wlad vs Thompson kinda.

Dimitrenko hasn't really beaten anyone of significant note. Talk about being undeserving. He should fight Rogan and some others.

Well, Dimitrenko has beaten 29 heavyweights, Haye has defeated only two. Who is more deserving?

Neither has fought a current heavyweight contender, although both Dimitrenko's opponent Krasniqi and Haye's opponent Barrett were in eliminators and title fights a few years ago.

I like Dimitrenko, but it's too early for him to be fighting Wladimir. He needs more fights IMO.

I'm not sure who'd win, but I'll just pick Wlad with that excellent jab and left hooks of his. I'd love to see the fight, though. If all this **** with Haye doesn't work out, Sascha should be given a shot.

Wlad has to fight someone, if he can not make a better fight happean (for whatever reasons) why not. Sometimes young guys can pull a suprise. I see no reason for Wlad to sit inactive just beacuse he can not fight the guys everyone wants him to fight.

I just hope he gets around to those guys eventually.

As for the poll question, I have to go with slim chance. Boxing is the theatre of the unexpected and there are no sure things. With that said Wlad should be a heavy betting favorite, and rightfully deserved.
