I thought this was well-known already, to be honest. Plus he went to visit Pac down at WildCard before the De La Hoya fight.

Mike Tyson doesn't have the patience but Michael Moorer does?

      I smell bull****.

Seems to me that Tyson would have a little more respect for the hierarchy than Mike Moorer who always seems to be in a bad mood.

I have no sympathy for a man who wastes $100m. But I do hope he see's better days.

Anyway, can't he get like $50,000 for a public appearance or dinner?

Tyson is still one of the all time great fighters, regardless of his financial state etc etc

It would be great seeing Tyson getting involved in training and back with boxing (though NOT fighting himself). I would like to see him do that or some kind of commentating and get his life back together.

I dont fault Roach though for not hiring him. Roach's obligations right now are to prepare Pac and Kahn for victories in their upcoming fights. He's worked with Tyson before and if he thinks Tyson would just be a distraction or is not capable of helping then he has no obligation to hire him.

It is somewhat debatable to call Mike Tyson one of the all time great fighters. Being the youngest person to win HW champ of the world is a notable achievement, and early in his career he was certainly on pace to do so. But to call him an Alltime great based on this? His legacy to many, is that while he had all the skills to become among the best HW ever, the fact of the matter is he was throughly destroyed by the 2 premier HW's he ever faced in Holyfield and Lewis. People want to dog on Oscar because he lost all his big fights; considering nothing else about Tyson's tribulations outside the ring you have to judge him in the same way in that respect. All time greats have to be able to rebound from getting knocked out too. Once Buster took away 'invincibility' notion of Tyson, the man never was remotely close to the same fighter.
