Would love to see Mike running his own gym. As it's been pointed out earlier, though, he probably lacks the patience to be a trainer. Not sure. He has some great experience and maybe he's mellowed out as he's aged. If he was dedicated enough it could be a huge success.
like i said, as long as his state of mind is good i think he would be a solid trainer, just because he lacked patience in the ring doesnt mean he wouldnt be a competent trainer, training fighters and actually fighting are two very different things

Why should someone give him a job when he has made 100 million and frittered it all away. Normal people would do anything to be that rich because it means you're set for life. But he just disrespected it. He has no idea how to manage money so why should he get given more. Besides, there is no place for him in the Wild Card gym, he just wants to go there because that's one of the most famous boxing gyms around at the moment and that's where the most money will come from.

Clearly tyson is heading for a thrid bout with holyfield. Prehaps tyson and MJ should do some kind of joint comeback and get don king to promote it. DAMN! You couldn't make this stuff up!

If Mike really was a "friend" to Freddie, Freddie would've kept this information to himself.

But no, he goes public with it so everybody can read that Tyson has fallen so low that he's asking people he knows for employment.

            Fuck you, Freddie.

Tyson's dope. Who know maybe he'll make a good trainer. Did ya'll read that? Mike is a big fan of Pacquiao.

Personally, i'd take Tyson over Moorer as a trainer. Roach was right about the patience part. Training and teaching is all about patience.

How much do you think he's get paid if he were hired on the team? You think he'd get a flat rate or a percentage?

I think Tyson would make a GREAT Addition to the Pacman training camp! Pacquiao has always reminded me of a mini-tyson with his headbobbing side-to-side type of style and raw power. I think Tyson might not be a good trainer for other fighters, but this is almost like a match made in Heaven...

That's my opinion...and Freddie should have kept this information to himself or at least not played him out by saying he is having hard times and called me for a job! All he had to say was Mike wanted to help train Pacman, and I said no because I already hired Moorer...that would have been enough. But Freddie comes off like he is bad-mouthing Tyson.

I wouldn't disagree with that, however, Mike does (or did, at least) have a rather explosive personality both in an outside the ring. I do think he has mellowed out a little with age, though. I see the same thing in some of my family members! As young men, they were aggressive and had somewhat of a short fuse, but at around age 40 they became much more chilled and easy going. Maybe something similar happened with Mike.
