Im pretty sure they are using a physics engine similar to that used by the guy who created OB3D, which is a very crude, but most realistic boxing game I have seen yet, which means you can fight on the outside, on the inside, push your weight on fighter ect. Fight Night round 3 ****** terribly, and it was so fake. I hope they design round 4 similar to OB3D, but with some ****ing graphics.

So you could fight the entire fight like this:

And if you were playing two player it would be a split screen:
I might just buy the Xbox360 version. So I dont end up shelfing the game, over Call of Juarez and Wolfenstein. Im worried the controls might not translate well, over to the Xbox360. I never played first person anyway, always 3rd person, if someone did online, I'd viturally whoop them )

First time ever switching Fight Night from the PS version. Is it more acradly on Xbox?

It just felt so incredibly unrealistic. FFs the BS hayemaker that people spam to death with needs to go, and the jab has little to no use.

The controls are virtually the same on xbox and ps3. I play on both. I own a ps3 but everytime I go to my friends house I play on his xbox and I still whoop his ass. Controls are all the same, everything is in the same position. only times the controls don't translate well are games like Madden, for some reason I notice differences.

The parry system was the most unrealistic part about all the fight night games. The good news is FN4 has done away with it. That's right, no more parry system!! And defense works differently now, it now has it's own meter, which makes sense. For exmaple if you just sit there and block every mike tyson power shot, it would be unrealistic to think your guard would continue to stay up. now your guard will continue to slip as your arms get pounded, also you can swipe an arm out of the way so you can sneak in a shot, etc

Well, before PS3 screwed everything up. Ps3 was better for 3rd person shooters and Xbox still is better for first peron, seeing as Fight Night is a 3rd person game, I always played it on PS3................

Jabs were deadly in Fight night Round 2

They need to find a way to make matchs go the full ten rounds instead of knocking out people easily, (more so than Round 2), and make it arcadley like Fight Night 2004. Round 3, I dont even know how to explain it.....

The boxer choices are very dull, and end up playing with dull fighters like Jeff Lacy because their exarggerated stats.

They should just make it so that the punches aren't automatically aimed to target the chin and the body, instead aim should be entirely manual (see OB3D). Also without the haymakers they should make tenderspots, which cause more damage such as the tip of the chip, and the temple, as well as the liver. This way one could adapt their own style, wheter all they do is throw Calzaghe shots all fight and wear down their opponent, or become precision based counter punchers that target sensative areas. That way the game would be a lot more realistic, and fun.
