p4p dont get dropped for inactivity... tszyu was #3 for 2 years while injured.

not entirely true. Winky was on the p4p lists until he dissapeared.

        cmon now.
        - hatton and caballero can be left off
        - calderon should on
        - darchinyan should be there he beat mijares and dominated jorge

        - dawson has good wins, but tarver and johnson are not p4p
        - cotto quit against margo and beat a nobody (jennings)
        - wlad is a heavyweight and disqualified

and although Izzy and Raf Marquez deserve to be on there, theyve been inactive for over a year now...
so what. tszyu was on the list for 2-3 years while he was injured.

Calderon I cant argue for or against, I know nothing about the guys in his division.
            - dawson has good wins, but tarver and johnson are not p4p
um...what about Adamek, who is now the best at Cruiserweight? Seems better than Darchinyan's wins over Mijares and Arce to me.
            - cotto quit against margo and beat a nobody (jennings)
and has a win over their top 5 fighter. not to mention he has a lot of other good names on his record at 140 and 147. I mean, Cotto's record at 140 is better than Hattons other than that win over Tsyzu, and his record at 147 certainly makes up for that, doesnt it?
            - wlad is a heavyweight and disqualified
thats dumb. Heavyweights have made it on the p4p lists before. and although Wlad probebly doesnt quite deserve to be on it because the HW division is so awful, he has as much right to be on there as someone like Caballero
so what. tszyu was on the list for 2-3 years while he was injured.
and ended up losing to Hatton and retiring not long after. layoffs hurt fighters, and if a fighter goes down a notch or two, they should be moved down in the p4p rankings as well.
winky lost to hopkins, had a difficult fight against taylor and sam solimon (spelling?)
I believe Winky was still on the p4p list after his loss to Hopkins(which I thought was a draw anyway), but they eventually took him off because of his inactivity. which was the whole point.

Winky did not have a hard time against Soliman, and considering Taylor was coming off wins over Hopkins and coming up a weight class, its not exactly like its embarressing to have a tough fight with him.

That list sucks, Cotto shoul be there calderon should be number 4 and Rafa marquez is too ****ing high, he should be out of that list or idf he is, he should be number 10.

he havent won a fight in 2 years and have lost his last 2.

The ring P4P list is garbage!!!!!!!

adamek isnt p4p either. vic is a unifed and lineal champ also

and has a win over their top 5 fighter.
its arguable and probable that ssm is better now than when he fought cotto, due to ****m richardson.

its good enough to be just outside the top 10

thats dumb. Heavyweights have made it on the p4p lists before. and although Wlad probebly doesnt quite deserve to be on it because the HW division is so awful, he has as much right to be on there as someone like Caballero
only exceptional HW have been on the p4p list. i dont even think caballero should be on there

and ended up losing to Hatton and retiring not long after. layoffs hurt fighters, and if a fighter goes down a notch or two, they should be moved down in the p4p rankings as well.
he came back and destroyed mitchell same as before. he had his tune up before hatton. hatton just too fresh and young for tszyu.. the layoff didnt hurt him, he was just too old and also hatton had homecourt and referee advantage.

izzy and raf should still be on top 10.

I believe Winky was still on the p4p list after his loss to Hopkins(which I thought was a draw anyway), but they eventually took him off because of his inactivity. which was the whole point.
it wasnt inactivity, it was because a lot of fighters stepped up their game.

nowadays fighters start fighting at an older age.

they also go for years without fighting anyone serious since promoters and managers try to get them safe fights.

also with modern training and nutritional programs , fighters can keep themselves competitive at a higher age especially since they start boxing pro at an older age and have pretty easy fights to start their careers.

**** what any publications says, you watch most all major fights right? I mean it's all really subjective, most reasonable and informed fight fans know who the best fighter in each weight class is. Out of all of those fighters its really a pick your poison as to who the best P4P is over all.
