Valero down played Marquez's abilities on SundayVenezuelan knock-out artist Edwin Valero made it very clear Sunday afternoon that he has lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez in his cross-hairs.
"If Juan Marquez gets hit by me, the way he was getting hit by Juan Diaz, the result would be very different," said Valero while appearing on Univision's Sunday sports talk show Republica Deportivia.
"Look at the way he was getting hit and almost knocked-out."
Valero is in the midst of preparations for a April 4th bout against Antonio Pitalua at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, broadcast on pay per view, and promoted by Golden Boy Promotion.
