i think it would be a better individual win than any on calzaghe's resume but it wouldnt make his resume better than joe's

sometimes boxers lose to someone they are better than, it's mano e mano in there, anything can happen, and that will be the case if ricky somehow manages to beat pacman imo (not that this is directly related to the question, but i'm just saying if hatton beats pac he is not better than pac and therefore calzaghe too to me anyway)

To me, Calzaghe was a more talented fighter than his resume suggests. He could have done more, he could have fought in America sooner (would have helped if he'd ditched Warren a long time ago), so in terms of raw talent, Hatton isn't a patch on Calzaghe, in my opinion. Not even close.

Same for Roy Jones -- extremely talented, but not the best of resume's.

easily ahead of Calzaghe. I already think I might rate Hatton higher based on achievements, not skill.

If Hatton beats Pacquiao he will have fought four ring legends:

          1.) Kosta Tszyu
          2.) Jose Luis Castillo
          3.) Floyd Mayweather
          4.) Manny Pacquiao

and beaten 3 of them and in doing so certifying himself as an all time ring legend (with a likely rematch against Mayweather to come).
