    golden gloves

I have been trying to find out the way golden gloves works. I know they have weight divisions of course but what does novice and the other divisions mean. Do they go by age or how many fights you have?

Any information would be very helpful. thanks.

    ages are 17-35

seperated by weight divisions (amateur weight divisions are different than pros) For example, instead of 126, 130,135,140 you have 125,132,141.

Novice is if you have 0-10 fights.
Open is if you have more than 10 fights.

Amount of fights depends on how many people in your weight class.

You will be fighting once a week.

Where im from. You start in the Southern NE Golden Gloves. You win that and then you go to the New England Golden Gloves a few weeks later. You win that and you can keep advancing until Nationals.
