how come manuel marquez didnt used the uppercut against pacquiao?

thats his best punch but he used it like 2 times in the rematch...i remember taco telling him in the corner to use it.....also his best round was the 12th when he was ducking down to avoid pacquiaos left....if theres a 3rd fight thats what he should do.....also pacquiao said hes only fighting 2 more times after hatton....i guess 140 lb champ then marquez....

The uppercut is not a punch that you force, either the opening is there or it isn't. Pacquiao did a better job in the second fight of getting in and getting out and wasn't nearly as one-dimensional as he was in the first fight.

Juan Diaz was much more available for the uppercut than Pacquiao.

Juan Diaz's head was facing the floor, which made the uppercut so effective against him, but Pacquio stands straight when he fights, which makes it hard to land effective uppercuts.

Pacquiao asked him nicely before the fight not to throw it and Marquez was simply respecting Pac's wishes.

            yup.

bad news for jmm if he threw the upper from too far away and pac counters with one of his straight lefts.

jmm is a pro's pro. if the opening was there he'd have thrown it more.

juan was crowding jmm and that leaves openings for the uppercut.

pac doesn't crowd jmm he goes in and out. better for jmm to counter pac coming in with rights and hooks.
