I think Mayweather would outbox him. I do like Tszyu if he caught him though, but I have to say that in terms of DOMINANT fighters that I've seen. Kostya Tszyu may have had the WORST defense of any of them. He usually didnt even put his hands up or anything, he would just move his head back.

the fact that he improved after that point can't be really argued.

too bad kostya didn't rematch vince though.

besides it's not like floyd would fight the way phillips did.
No Mayweather wouldnt fight KT the way Philips did but he would tag KT on and off and get out of range where KT wouldnt be able to land his power shots.

Roger also ran the entire fight, that is why he didn't get KO'd. Do you even know anything about him? KT changed things after Phillips, always came prepared and you noticed a huge difference. He won a title by his 14th pro fight and he was a bit to arrogant, man some people have seen two fights and judge him on the rest of his career.

Look mate, I have all KT's fight on DVD, Am a big fan of the ponytail one from when he fought as an amateur and yes he was out of shape for the philips fight but whose fault is that???

Roger ran the entire fight and KT wasnt able to tag him enough to slow him down but we all know PBF is a much more better version of roger, No disrespect to KT but PBF beats him UD...Just my own opinion.

Mayweater would have stopped Kostya. Kostya is easily one of the most overrated boxers ever. He was stopped in his prime by a nobody, yes Phillips was a nobody. All suddenly he can KO Floyd cause he KO'd Judah. People forget Judah had Kostya HURT in the first round. Mayweather let Judah have free shots on his chin
Mayweather best version was at 140, amazing power and speed. This combination would be bad for Kostya leading him to being stopped and embarrassed

He slipped a lot more punches then your realize my friend, not many fighters caught him directly flush, Judah nor Mitchell did and those guys were fast. And Mitchell was even smart. His defense wasn't as bad as you think, most punches missed him but people see them reach out and he just let a lot of punches slip off of him, nothing flush. He fought with a very offensive and counter punch style. Nobody wanted to open up anyways because he was such a great counter puncher.

you don't think a kostya a little bit younger would have withstood hatton's pressure?

like i said kostya didn't like to be crowded. getting mugged while the ref lets it go is a bit worst than being crowded.

it was a great win for hatton but let there be no doubt that a prime tszyu vs. prime hatton and ricky would get KTFO.
Hmm..i see.. so now ur contradicting urself..u just told larryx that mayweather is the best at hypothetical fights, sumthing like that..well saying that Tszyu would knock Hatton out while both at their primes that's doing the same thing..mayweather facing an oscar de la hoya at 154 is already more dangerous than fighting kostya at 140..Theres always gonna be sum fighter out there that "can beat" Mayweather even if he goes back in time to sugar ray lenards prime and beats him no one will ever admit that Floyd is the best/smartest fighter out there right now and cannot be beaten by these fighters of his era..people just dont understand..he didnt cherry pick his 39 opponents

Mayweather was also hurt and he also should have been counted for a KD against Judah when his glove touched the canvas.

Sorry dude but you don't know enough about KT to make a judgement, your opinion has been dismissed.

His defense was because people were so afraid (and justly so) of standing their ground and throwing punches. And I remember after Phillips beat him in the interview after the fight I think it was Larry Merchant asked him why he didnt keep his hands up and he said something like "even if I keep them up, the right hand would still hit me".

And I remember when Kid Diamond came up and was supposed to be the next Tszyu and they had nothing in common technically, Diamond wasnt anywhere near him, but they both did that same thing: If you actually stand and throw against them, their primary defense is to just take their head and throw it back as far as possible, it didnt move side-to-side, the hands didnt come up, the head just went up and back.

Kostya was HURT BADLY by Judah in round one. Kostya chin is OVERRATED. He was bloody stopped by Phillips. Castillo has a great resume and was a P4P once unlike Phillips.

Mayweather beat Castillo in the first 6 rounds after that he torn a muscle in his shoulder and had crack ribs and still fought on to victory

                      Kostya's resume is laughable
