Hopkins comes in higher then 185 on Fight night. Let alone between fights. He he came in against Pavlik at 187 1/2. While Pavlik was just 171.

Theirs a reason Hopkins keeps on somehow ending up agaisnt smaller fighters.(Trinidad, DLH, Wright, Pavlik etc.) Its just not luck. He knows what hes doing. At the very least Adamek is just a little bigger. Lets see how he does when the situation is just slightly reversed.

Hopkins doesn't lose more than a few pounds in training camp and I mean about 5 pounds, because he trains year ****ing round.

Exactly, I knew that number had to be BS because of that. I would be surprised if he even weighed that much entering camp.

OK, so for a 170 fight he gained 10 lbs.

For a 175 fight, + 10 lbs is 185, which is roughly what he came in at against Calzaghe.

Hopkins does sometimes walk around at about 190+.

But yes he doesn't put on as much as a lot of guys.

I'm just puzzled by him saying he'd come in at between 180 and 185 for a 200 lbs fight.

Especially when came in at 180 for a 170 fight.

I'm not suprised. His main advantage in this fight is his speed, so if he gains too much weight for extra strength + power, he loses his speed advantage somewhat, and is still at a disadvantage in strength and power.

Billy Conn went into a heavyweight fight against Joe Louis weighing about the same as he did when he fought at Light heavyweight, and outboxed Louis for a long time before getting stopped late. However, the point is, by keeping his weight down he maintained his extra speed and was able to outbox Louis. He still lost in the end, but you know what I mean.

Do you ever say anything positive about any ATG fighter. Everything you post is so laced with bitterness it is pathetic.
