.........Doesnt that count as a TKO loss? Guerrero last night said he didnt want to continue because of the cut which was caused by a headbutt. Shouldnt that be considered abandonment?

Cause the reason he didn't want to continue was cause of something inflicted by something illegal.

If its a punch then its a TKO...Headbutt scorecard or no contest.

Yea, if it's an accidental headbutt, or something of the sort, after 4 rounds it goes to the cards. Anything before and it's a NC.

If you give up and say you don't want to continue I think they class is as retirement (RTD) as you see on Boxrec, however on the record it will go as a KO if that makes any sense? I think that's right anyway...

He never said he didn't want to continue. He said he couldn't see. The doctor stopped the fight, not him.

If the referee didnt deem it illegal then yes its a tko loss.Last time I checked there hasnt been an instance of someone refereeing and fighting at the same time.....oh,wait a minute,Kermit"headbunt, headbunt"Cintron, but thats about it.
