This is why I try my hardest not to hype up unproven guys, it usually blows up in your face. Hell, even hyping up the proven guys can make you look like an ass sometimes lol.

It was hilarious reading through the opinions of people in this thread. People like to hype up guys who are unproven. Which is why I think if GGG moves up in weight and steps up his competition he will lose. He is getting a lot of undeserved praise and I think it'll bite some of these posters in the ass.

Even if GGG doesn't live up to the insane hype he has right now, I wouldn't classify him as an unproven fighter by any means. The guy has an amazing amateur record, is an Olympian silver medalist, and has a hell of a pro record and has beat some decent contenders in his division by utter destruction. I'm not one of his followers by any means, actually waiting for Ward to school him, but he's far from an unproven commodity at this point.
