    Vernon Forrest vs. James Kirkland

Who'd win? I think the obvious choice is Forrest. Simply because he'd be able to counter off of Kirkland. However, Forrest did have trouble with the pressure and wildness from Mayorga. So who wins?

Really? He fought Mora and in the second fight showed his heart. I mean he really put a whoopin on Mora. Mora is no slouch.

I would go with Kirkland. I don't think Vernon's legs would be able to make it. Kirkland would put too much pressure on him. Unless Vernon was able to counter him early and get a KO within the first couple rounds, I don't see him lasting against Kirkland's pressure.

He might take Vernon now, but in his prime Forrest would of took Kirkland to school.

just like kirkland brought out that little bit of bitchness that was wayyyyyy in the back of julios mind after taking his best shots and still coming forward.... he would take the will and bring out the old man bitchness in forrest as well.
if julio didnt get deterrred and mentally quit after round 4 or so it wouldve been an unreal fight rounds 1-3 were hard to beat

Sergio Mora made a big mental error by having to shed two pounds at the scales. That did him no favors in the Forrest rematch.

Vernon Forrest should be focused on his mandatory Sergio Martinez first. He has his hands completely full there.

The reason he did not do well in the rematch with Forrest is, because Forrest was inshape that time. You could see the love handles Forrest was carrying in the first fight, he was not in top condition.

Forrest loses now, he's getting on. Mayorgas wild, power punching style was hard to time and threw Forrest off, Kirkland is more methodical than Mayorga but is a hard punching/volume, pressure fighter as well which IMO throws Forrest off again to the tune of a UD loss.
