He beat Julio in a better fashion than Sergei Dzinziruk did. thats saying something.

for some reason, and this might sound crazy, but he kind of lacks power. ok, he doesnt 'lack' power...but I dont think hes that huge of a puncher. he almost reminds me of Juan Diaz, able to pound away opponents until they are broken. of course, he still has more p4p power than Juan, but Juan was much more skilled than Kirkland is.

I dont know, maybe its just me. still is great to watch.

Julio usually stops sitting on his punches after a couple of rounds or so. Thats the way he usually goes about it and the thought was that maybe if he could take it late he could get Kirkland, but I felt that way about Julio.

Agree with this. Julio really look like ****, he was fat, out of shpae, and sluggish. after the 2nd round he gassed out. Kirkland needs to work on bringing those hands p, and he needs more head movement. Any of the top boxer, Santos, Martinez or Sergei will out box the **** out of him!!!!!!!!!!!

He's got a great strong body and will. And he also has good punching power. I just think that a veteran fighter will be able to exploit his uncontrolled aggression at times.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Kirkland is going to feast on Angulo.

I agree with you. i think his power is overrated, is just that he throws so many punches, what gets t his opponents.

He needs to make some serious improvements, because, he can get out box easily, by Santos, Drinzinik or Martinez. Even Julio as slow as he was, he was outboxing Kirkland most of the time!!!!!!
