Once again, not discrediting Victor's win. But how big of a step was this fight for Ortiz? Was it actually a stepping stone? It didn't look like it was very difficult.

it was favored to go over on the over/under.
most thought it would go to later rounds.

Mike had gone to split decision with Ricardo Torress, went to a draw with Juan Urango, and went the distance with Kendall Holt. he also knocked out Jesse Feliciano in one round, and Feliciano can take a beating if you saw his fights against Cintron and Tsurkan.

Those are some really dangerous offensive fighters the guy has been in with, and he went the distance with them all. Ortiz toasted this guy in two rounds...

weak stoppage or not, thats pretty impressive.

arnaoutis is a good fighter, talented, has skills, he can crack hard, and usually has a solid chin..........

it really says something of ortiz's power and his sharpness. he saw an opening on a usually slick guy and took it, and pulled out the win. although it could be argued about a short stoppage, but if it was let to go on, arnaoutis was dead in the water......

i was seriously expecting this fight to go the distance........

Ortiz needs to fight Holt/Bradley winner then if he doesn't. He is a protected fighter like JCC Jr.

                    Wow.
Yeah I never saw anything of Mike.. ever. First time I heard of him. But what you kind of means a lot.

When will this kid be at the top, if he succeeds in all of his fights? 2-3 years?
