    its a shame i read about this too ... i thought the nyc irish woulda supported lee and bought tickets. i would like see more of andy and how/if/when his career is gonna rebound.

      Yea and they blamed it on the economy. that is not why people didnt buy tickets. they didnt buy them because they did a bad job promoting the fight, AND Andy Lee has only fought on obscure undercards in New York. Nobody knows him

        The recession is affecting all sectors of the economy so don't be surprised that there will be less boxing in 2009 than in prior years...

          personally im delighted this fight is off, i dont wont to see him go out like gatti did, McCullough is finished........ another warrior but my god give it up wayne

            Yeah, but hopefully the fights we do get will be more competitive. If thats the trade off for way less fights I'd gladly take it.
